Overview
The Clyde Cruising Club was founded in 1909 to serve cruising sailors on the Clyde, and it now covers the whole West Coast and the Northern Isles of Scotland. It publishes the well-known CCC Sailing Directions for Scottish waters, runs musters, cruises in company and passage races, and organises the Scottish Series at Tarbert on Loch Fyne, the largest keelboat regatta in Scotland. Its dinghy section on Bardowie Loch near Milngavie opened in 1933. It is an RYA-recognised training centre with evening classes and summer schools for children and adults, club boats, class open meetings and sailing for disabled sailors.
