Overview
Gamlakarleby Segelförening (GSF) was founded in 1872 as Finland’s fourth sailing club, after those in Pori, Helsinki and Turku. Since 1916 its home has been Mustakari at the head of Vanha Satamalahti in Kokkola, with a club harbour, guest harbour and restaurant. The season’s highlight is the July Annual Regatta (Årskappseglingarna), a tradition of more than a century run jointly with Kokkolan Purjehtijat; the programme also includes Kasta loss, Höstöppen and Siikasafari. Juniors have beginner and follow-up courses.
